  2. TIME: Middle Jurassic to Late Cretaceous
  3. LOCALITY: Europe (England)
  4. SIZE: 23 ft/7 m long

  6. A nearly complete skeleton of this early 
  7. carnosaur was unearthed in southern England,
  8. and described in 1964. 
  9. It is now mounted in the University
  10. Museum of Oxford, and although parts of its
  11. skull are missing, it remains the
  12. best-preserved specimen of any European
  13. carnosaur discovered to date.In build,
  14. Eustreptospondylus was so similar to
  15. Megalosaurus that, until 1964, it was still
  16. thought to be merely another specimen of that
  17. dinosaur.
